Central Dublin is quite small, so you can get around by foot easily. Public transport comes in the form of Dublin Bus and the Luas light rail tram, which you can purchase tickets for in cash or prepaid card. While Uber operates in Dublin, MyTaxi is the more commonly used local service.
TRAVEL TO / FROM VENUE
We recommend hailing a taxi or using a local cab app, like My Taxi, as we’re not providing transportation between hotels, the venue or the afterparty. Parking at D-Light Studios is limited, but Connolly Station carpark, the closest garage, is about 10 mins walk from the venue.
AIRPORTS
The wedding takes place in Dublin and the nearest airport is Dublin Airport. Shannon Airport, in the west of Ireland, is a lengthy 4 hour drive from Dublin and should only be booked if you plan on spending time in the west at the start and end of your trip. Similarly, Belfast International Airport is a three hour drive from Dublin, and is only recommended if you plan to bookend your trip with time in the north of the country. For those traveling internationally (especially from the US): jetlag is real and we typically budget one day of recovery / schedule adjustment upon arrival (e.g., to be ready for Friday, arrive on Thursday).
CAR HIRE
Travel from city to city is easy via train or bus, but if you plan on exploring Ireland a little, hiring a car is highly recommended. All the usual hire companies can be found in Ireland (Hertz, Avis, Europcar, Enterprise) and can be booked in advance or at the airport upon arrival. For advance booking we recommend comparing on Expedia or Kayak.

RENT A CAR AND HEAD OUT WEST
Ireland’s west is where you’ll find rugged landscapes, winding roads, and heart-warming pubs. Get lost in stunning Connemara, spend a night or two exploring the mountains of Kerry, and stop in scenic villages and small towns to get your culture-fix along the way.
SPEND SOME TIME IN DUBLIN; THE PUBS ARE PARTICULARLY COZY
Dublin is a European hub of literature, creativity, and nightlife. Meander up cobblestone streets, down a pint in one of the many centuries-old pubs, or check out the city’s bustling shopping districts.
TAKE A QUICK JAUNT TO AMSTERDAM, PARIS, OR LONDON
While Ireland is an island, exploring Europe is inexpensive and easy. If you’re looking to fill a few extra days, it’s around an hour to Amsterdam, Paris, or London (Amsterdam is particularly gezellig in May).
